Body Types: Determine Your Body Type

1. Apple Body Type: Typically you are top heavy, slim limbs, and wide shoulders. Your weight tends to settle in your midsection so its best to stay away from things that draw attention to that area.
Ways to dress this body type: Most of your attention should be directed towards your top and lower half of your body to keep the attention away from your midsection. Shirts, blouses, or dresses with V-necks are perfect.
Flared pants are recommended over skinny jeans or straight leg pants because it helps
balance out wide shoulders and heavy upper body.
To avoid attention drawn to your mid area stay away from belts that pinch the waist and
dresses that hug your midsection.
2. Pear Body Type: Bottom Heavy and Narrow top/shoulders. This body type would be
considered very curvy. Your legs tend to look fuller compared to other parts of the body.
Ways to dress for this body type: Being that you are more bottom heavy than top
heavy, wearing things to broaden your shoulder or breast area can avoid so much attention to the bottom area. Now some people love their "heavy bottoms" so wearing things that accentuate the lower body may not be a problem for some people.
Suggestions would be to wear a bra that compliments your breast area. Better to wear
a flare pant versus a skinny or straight -legged paint. The flare pant will help balance
your look better. Also wearing tops that compliments your shoulders.
3. Rectangle Body Type: With this body type its almost as if you're straight up and down. There are really no curves and your waist is about the same as your hips and breast. This shape can still have some features of the pear shape and apple shape body such as curvy bottom (resembling a pear bottom), your chest may be wider , and you a may have a little more extra love in the midsection.
Ways to Dress for this Body Type: Being that this body type is not so curvy you want to wear things that will flatter the outline of your body. Maybe adding a belt around your waist that gives you that snatched look. Wearing more of skinny jeans that fits you can also accentuate your body. Shape wear is also a great benefit for this body type because it snatches everything and smooths out your figure. Next time you go out on a date, throw on a nice flattering dress that adds volume to your figure and add a belt to that waist hunny!
4. Hour Glass Body Type: While some may naturally have this shape there are others who pay to get this body. To be realistic this is a shape that most women would love to have, but all shapes are beautiful and you have to learn how to love yourself. If you don't like what you see there's always room to make changes! With this shape the breast area and bottom are normally equal with a smaller waist. This shape is very curvy!
Ways to Dress: Love ON YOUR CURVES! You don't have to wear skin tight, but you
can still accentuate your curves with nice classy attire. Make sure to wear a nice supportive bra because most likely your breasts are full of love lol. Your waist loves accessories so throw a belt on sometimes to give it that extra uummpph! Tailored clothes are a good suggestion. Try a nice V-neck top or dress but not anything too revealing since you are already "breast friendly"!
Have fun with fashion and make the best out of it. When you step out you should feel confident in everything you wear. Be that girl that makes room for herself wherever she goes! I hope these tips have helped you to make the most out of your shopping experiences!
